Adelina’s Cakes

Over the years I have made hundreds of cakes, for all occasions, from weddings, birthdays, christenings, Easter, Christmas and many more.

On this site I would like to share some of those with you, (where I have photo's). Some are quite old dating back to the 1970's, and made in the days without the luxury of modern cake decorating methods and accessories, when there was no ready-made moulding icing, or flowers.

It's nice to look back, because I rarely make cakes now. Collecting all the photo's together has taken me through a trip down memory lane. Some cakes were a great challenge, but those are the ones which gave the most satisfaction once finished.

As my family will tell you, these cakes sometimes took not hours but days to make, and during the final assembly of all the components, and hand made flowers, you might frequently find me working on them into the early hours of the morning.

Making these cakes has been a great hobby, made on request by family and friends - see if you can spot the cakes I made for you. And if you have a photo of a cake I made which doesn't appear in this library of photo's, I would be very pleased for a copy - all originals will be returned.
